Coffee Mill Ski Area – Wabasha, MN 651-565-2777 Coffee Mill Ski and Snowboard Resort is located 90 miles South of the Twin Cities, nestled in the majestic Mississippi River valley. With beautiful views of the valley below, skiers and snowboarders enjoy long slopes and no lift lines. With 12 runs and 3 lifts we have terrain for everyone. Elm Creek Winter Rec. Area – Maple Grove, MN 763-694-7894 Tucked away within the Three Rivers Park District's Elm Creek Recreation Area in Maple Grove, Minnesota the winter recreation area has everything for winter fun. The area features a lighted snow-tubing hill, beginner downhill ski and snowboard area and terrain park, and lighted cross-country ski trails, all with snowmaking. The area has a large lodge featuring outstanding food, equipment rentals, and the acclaimed Three Rivers Park District SnowSports Academy. Elm Creek is great fun for families and groups alike!

Hyland Ski & Snowboard – Bloomington, MN 763-694-7800 Hill Cam Hyland Ski & Snowboard Area is located within Three Rivers Park District Hyland Lake Park Reserve, five minutes from the Mall of America, just south of Interstate 494 and Highway 100 in Bloomington, Minnesota. Hyland is known for some of the best snowmaking and grooming in the Midwest and its terrain park is full of progressive and innovative features The 1,000-acre park reserve features extensive winter recreational activities including lighted cross-country ski trails, snowshoe trails and a Nordic ski jumping complex.

Our 15 trails sit high above the local landscape creating a panoramic view of the surrounding area. A large chalet with two food service areas and an adult lounge create a comfortable atmosphere to relax between runs. Snow tubing is available for non skiers or boarders and a terrain park with its own tow is a hit with our more adventurous guests.

Trollhaugen – Dresser, WI 800-826-7166 Hill Cam Trollhaugen Winter Recreation Area is nestled in Dresser, WI, less than an hour away from the Twin Cites to the Northeast. We offer something for all winter sports enthusiasts, whether it's alpine or cross country skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, and even occasional events such as snowshoeing or skijoring. If you are looking for some great family fun, friendly faces, great instructors, and even greater conditions, come out to Trollhaugen, and see if you can spot the Troll.


Welch Village – Welch, MN 651-222-7079 Local line: 651-258-4567 Located less than an hour SE of the Twin Cities and north of Rochester in the Cannon River Valley, Welch Village Resort is expanding from 50 to 61 runs for the 08-09 season with the addition of the New Back Bowl. Eleven new runs, a new quad chairlift, and additional snowmaking will make Welch Village one of the largest in the region, offering some of the best terrain, snowmaking and grooming, while remaining one of the favorites of Midwest skiers and boarders. From Heidi’s Hollow to Chicken and the back bowl chutes, we offer terrain for all levels and abilities. At our Skilink Learning Center, where the emphasis is on families, lesson packages are geared to get the beginner hooked on skiing or riding for a great value while enticing them to become part of our season membership. Wild Mountain – Taylors Falls, MN 651-465-6315 Hill Cam Located in beautiful Taylors Falls, (Only an hour from the Twin Cities) Wild Mountain offers great terrain spread over 100 acres in the beautiful St. Croix River Valley. There are runs for all abilities from Northern Route, a beginner run 1 mile long that wraps through the beautiful north woods, to the Wall, a double black diamond, 2 terrain parks & a half pipe. We offer one of the largest snowmaking and grooming fleets in the Midwest, which enables us to make excellent slope conditions regardless of the snow in your backyard. We offer lessons for all ages & abilities 7 days/nights a week. In addition to great skiing and snowboarding we also have Snow Tubing. Wild Chutes Snow Tubing is one of the biggest Snow Tubing hill in MN. A conveyor takes you to the top of the hill with ease & then you can tube down one of the many lanes by yourself, in a chain, or in a big group of people.
